THE FORGIVENESS EXPERIMENT: LIVE
What Are You Ready to Stop Carrying Into the New Year?
Wednesday September 16 at 7:30pm - at Rohr Chabad NDG
Every year between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Rabbi Yisroel Bernath leads a powerful exploration of forgiveness. This year, for the first time, that annual tradition comes alive through the ideas and exercises of his new book, The Forgiveness Experiment.
This won’t be a lecture about “forgive and forget.” It will be an honest, interactive journey into the things we carry: the people who hurt us, the people we may have hurt, the mistakes we still hold against ourselves, and the questions we may still carry toward G-d.
Through Jewish wisdom, personal reflection, storytelling, and practical exercises, we’ll explore three essential questions:
What do I need to release?
What do I need to repair?
What do I need to return to G-d?
You may not be able to change what happened. You may never receive the apology you deserved. But you can decide how much of your past gets to accompany you into your future.
Come prepared to think, feel, laugh a little and perhaps leave carrying less than you came in with.
You don’t need to enter Yom Kippur without a past.
You just don’t need to carry all of it into your future.
