For the first time ever, Montreal is hosting one of the true architects of modern Israeli wine, Yaacov Oryah.

If you’ve ever tasted an Israeli wine that made you pause… that made you rethink what kosher wine could be… there’s a very good chance Yaacov had a hand in it.

Who Is Yaacov Oryah? Winemaker. Visionary. Relentless experimenter.

Yaacov has shaped Israeli wine from behind the scenes for decades, working with iconic wineries including Ella Valley, Midbar, Asif, former Head Winemaker at Psagot Winery and now Yaacov Oryah Wines and the Pinto Winery.

He is especially known for pushing boundaries with depth, texture, tannin, and soul.

Perfectly Paired — A Montreal Debut

The wines will be paired by world-renowned private chef Yossel Backman, founder of YB Experience.

Chef Yossel has cooked in elite kitchens around the world, including Michelin-starred restaurants and New York’s famed Reserve Cut. This marks his first culinary appearance in Montreal and he’s designing the menu exclusively for this night. Each course will be crafted to unlock the wine, not overpower it.
